The next generation of adventure bike that would suit riders that have the yearning for the feelings of total freedom adventures on 2 wheels. It has been designed for those riders who have an active attitude that want to experience the best New Zealand has to offer.

Yamaha DNA is Rally and Adventure riding so it is no surprise that the T7 is suitable for on and off road riding. The low weight and slim chassis make it ideal for this, couple this with a 689cc CP2 engine that delivers strong torque and easy to use power.

A committed team composed of Yamaha's engineers, designers and product planners from the Official Rally Team in France, the R&D in Italy and GK Design in the Netherlands have developed the new T7 concept. Each member of the team is driven by a desire to create something that would fit the needs of the adventure traveller and represent the Yamaha vision for the next generation of adventure bikes.

The adventure and discovery is waiting for riders who want to experience it in the best way possible.

Reviews

“…its sole rider aid is ABS that is switchable when stopped, which works well. As someone who spends most of his time on lightweight dirt bikes without any electronic interventions, I felt immediately comfortable on the Ténéré 700 with its light clutch, smooth shifting and excellent fueling.” Rider Magazine

“This overachieving motor is impressive and has a wide sweet spot throughout the well-spaced gearing.” Rider Magazine

“While the engine may have come from a street bike with only minor changes to the intake and exhaust system, the chassis is all adventure.” Driven

“Yamaha has achieved the near-impossible, coming to market with a simpler take on the middleweight adventure class than the competition, but also a bike that achieves the design brief of confidently inspiring riders, old and new, to set out on an adventure.” Driven
